About Me & Privacy Policy

About me
I'm a working mum of 2 and a keen home cook, oh and by the way I'm vegetarian! Why is my blog called We Don't Eat Anything With a Face? Because I find that's the easiest way to explain what we do (and don't) eat. I enjoy reviewing places I've visited and products I buy, especially from a veggie perspective, I also blog recipes, news, chat and other random stuff!
I used to be the food editor for a large, national parenting website and have also done some freelance work on meal planning. After a while, I decided that working from home was too isolating, so once my kids were old enough to get to and from school by themselves, I went out and got a real job! I missed writing though, so I started up my vegetarian food blog as a hobby.

A bit more about me
I've been vegetarian for over 20 years and stopped eating red meat several years before that. My teenage children have been veggie from birth, despite concerns from friends and family. Mr O eats meat, but I don't buy it or cook it for him.

Just
in-case you're wondering why I'm not vegan, I did try it out when I was younger but found it too restricting. I do realise that eating eggs and dairy still causes animal suffering, but I buy organic/free range when ever possible to ease my conscience! I do buy leather shoes as I consider decent shoes a necessity, but I don't buy anything else made from leather, wool or silk. I might not be a perfect vegetarian, but I reckon over the years I've done my bit for the animals so I apologise in advance if my unvegan-ness offends you!

All of my recipes are tried and tested, and suitable for lacto-ovo vegetarians. Where possible I give a vegan alternative.
Many of my recipes are vegan and are marked as such.

I give credit where credit is due (to other recipe websites, authors, bloggers etc) but many of my recipes are either my own,or so far moved from the original that they are virtually
unrecognisable.

Please don't publish any of my recipes, text or images without prior consent. If you do, I'll get very cross and that's not good for the animals!
